Narendra Modi And Arun Jaitley, What On Earth Is Happening?
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... Are you guys concerned about resolving the FTII crisis?
The problems in FTII (Film & Television Institute of India) only seem to be getting worse by the day.
Now, 3 students of the institution- Alok Arora, Himanshu Shekhar and Hilal Savad- have gone on a hunger strike to convey their displeasure to the ruling party's indifferent attitude towards them.
The FTII students' strike completed 3 months yesterday. The protest is in disagreement over the appointment of the Chairman, Gajendra Chauhan.
Now, they have put up on Facebook that they will go on an indefinite hunger strike. The post reads: "Students of the FTII, if their concerns are not quelled, will now begin going on an indefinite HUNGER STRIKE. There is no timeline that has been fixed for the same as of now. It is extremely unfortunate that students of the premier film school in the nation are being pushed to this to get the government to resolve the issue. A hunger strike, is the most critical, serious and detrimental action that signifies a loss of faith as well as highlights the trauma and urgency to get a resolution. The declaration of this imminent action by Students of the FTII wishes to bring the light the ominous extent of the crisis that is now upon us, and that resolution has to arrive immediately. Are you listening Ministry of Information & Broadcasting ? #noFear #FTII -- at Film and Television Institute of India."
Later in the day, a press meet is being held in the press club with regards to the same issue where filmmaker Hansal Mehta ( FTII alumni) will address the issue.
